the platform of student based transdisciplinary research in the field of sustainability at ETH Zurich.

Seed sustainabilty is a project platform of ETHsustainabilty. To facilitate interdisciplinary, practice-oriented research projects for students in the field of sustainability we offer two services:

seedprojects provide a professional setting for investigating questions from practice partners aiming at practice-oriented problem solving for sustainability. Students supervised by scientific experts conduct the research. seed sustainability takes care of the overall project management. The seedprojects are directed at practice partners from outside academia, such as the private sector, the public domain, or nongovernmental organizations (NGOs). The seedbox is an interactive internet-based database for internal university student research on sustainability. Lectures and researchers use the platform to promote their sustainability research and to recruit qualified students for their research projects. It is directed at partners from within academia.

seed sustainability provides project-based sustainability research, consulting and coaching. It thus champions students commitment to sustainability and facilitates their involvement in the cooperation between society, economy and science. The research projects are designed as official Bachelor-, Master- or doctoral theses.
